The Owners
The Avenue Bistro is a family restaurant with Matthias and his daughter, Larissa, providing a taste of their home.
Matthias grew up in Hospitality helping with his parents restaurant. Finding his true passion in the kitchen he proceeded to seek professional training and ended up owning a Michelin Star restaurant in Germany. Immigrating to Canada in 2016 he continued his journey in the culinary world, buying the Avenue Bistro in 2022.
After his wife, Claudia Lingkost, passed in December of 2024 his daughter Larissa Lingkost took over the management position. The two of them now run the family business together hoping to share delicious classic dishes and a sense of home.
Locally Sourced, freshly made and served with love. The Avenue Bistro prides itself by only serving house made dishes.
